The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing project costs, estimates, and contract documentation throughout all stages of construction. The role ensures that projects are completed within budget, timeframe, and compliance standards, while coordinating effectively with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for architectural, structural, and MEP works.
- Issue and evaluate Request for Quotations (RFQs) from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in tender preparation, bid analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Monitor project cost control, including budget tracking, cost forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Handle progress billing, payment certifications, and evaluation of change orders or variation claims.
- Ensure all contractual documents, pricing, and scope clarifications are properly maintained and updated.
- Conduct site inspections to verify progress, quantity accomplishments, and compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and external stakeholders to support commercial and technical requirements.
- Assist in final account preparation, project close‑out, and documentation turnover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Licensed Engineer or Certified QS (preferred but not required depending on company policy).
- Minimum 1‑3 years of relevant experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or contract administration (fresh graduates with strong academic background may be considered).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, MS Project, and cost estimation software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, Candy, or similar).
- Strong numerical analysis, documentation accuracy, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working Location
An on‑site role based in Pasig, Philippines. Applicants must be able to work in the Philippines on a full‑time basis.
