Job summary

Briobuild Co. in Taguig seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor Head to drive end-to-end commercial management across projects. You will partner with Project, Design, Procurement, and Finance teams to enforce budget discipline, protect margins, and mitigate risk.

The role requires 6–10+ years in quantity surveying with strong leadership, MEPFS cost experience, and advanced cost estimation, BOQ, forecasting, and reporting capabilities. Expect a hands-on, strategic leader shaping project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC Board Passer).
• 6–10+ years of progressive experience in quantity surveying, commercial/cost management, and construction project delivery.
• Proven experience leading QS teams or managing multiple projects.
• Strong exposure to MEPFS works and commercial fit-out projects is an advantage.
• Advanced cost estimation, BOQ preparation, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building systems and services (MEPFS).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (dashboards, cost models), AutoCAD, and PlanSwift or equivalent take-off tools.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking with leadership and team management capability.
• High-level negotiation and stakeholder management skills with detail-oriented and analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying across multiple projects.
• Establish and enforce cost management frameworks, standards, and SOPs.

• Provide commercial insights to support executive decision-making.
• Oversee preparation and review of detailed cost estimates and BOQs (including MEPFS).
• Lead value engineering exercises to optimize project cost without compromising quality.
• Approve pricing strategies and bid evaluations.
• Provide expert oversight on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary systems costing.
• Lead contract strategy, negotiation, and administration.
• Mentor and develop Junior and Mid-level Quantity Surveyors.

About the role

About you

• 6 to 10+ years of progressive experience in quantity surveying, commercial/cost management, and construction project delivery
• Proven experience in leading QS teams or managing multiple projects
• Strong exposure to MEPFS works and commercial fit-out projects is an advantage
• Advanced expertise in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, cost control, forecasting, and reporting
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building systems and services (MEPFS), and industry standards and codes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (dashboards, cost models), AutoCAD, and PlanSwift or equivalent take-off tools
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking with excellent leadership and team management capability
• High-level negotiation and stakeholder management skills with detail-oriented and analytical ability
