Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Cost Controller in the Philippines (Cavite region). You will prepare BOQs, review plans, estimate material costs, and develop cost-saving strategies for residential, infrastructure, and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include on-site measurements, quantity take-offs, supplier bids, and monthly cost forecasting. Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD is required; a Civil/Industrial Engineering degree is essential.

Qualifications

Duties and Tasks

• Prepares Bill of Quantities (BOQs) / Bill of Materials (BOMs), contracts, budgets, and other relevant documents for incoming/current construction projects.
• Reviews architectural plans to prepare quantity needs and material cost estimates.
• Creates price forecasts, material cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Gathers data to verify project progress and accomplishments.
• Develops strategies to reduce overall project costs and ensure best value for money.
• Measures and values work completed on site.
• Performs Quantity Take-off and Plan interpretation.
• Handles Supplier/Subcontractor Quotation and Evaluation.
• Carries out monthly valuation of work in progress, including forecasting final cost and sales.

Minimum Qualification and Skills Required:

• Minimum 1-2 years in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) preparation / quantity surveying / BOQ or BOM preparation experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Civil Engineering is required for this position.
• Experience in residential, infrastructure, commercial, and industrial construction project types is essential.
• Experience in at least one construction project type (residential, infrastructure, commercial, or industrial) is required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD software is required.
• Experience with Philippine construction standards and regulations is preferred.
• Report writing.
• Costing preparation and financial report analysis.
• Proposal analysis and bidding proposal preparation.
• Basic knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (may be required).
• Strong mathematical skills.
