Job Summary
The Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Worldwide Interior Design Center Corp’s Quality Management System (QMS). The role ensures that business processes, policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality documentation are effectively developed, implemented, monitored, and continuously improved to promote operational excellence and compliance across all departments, stores, warehouses, and consignment operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality Management System Administration
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Develop, review, update, and control quality documents, including policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, and process maps.
- Ensure proper document control, version management, and accessibility of QMS documents.
- Monitor compliance with established quality standards and company policies.
Process Documentation and Improvement
- Work with department heads and process owners to document and standardize business processes.
- Conduct process mapping, workflow analysis, and gap assessments.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Training and Quality Awareness
- Conduct QMS orientation and awareness sessions for employees.
- Assist in training process owners on documentation standards, SOP implementation, and quality procedures.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Cross-Functional Support
- Coordinate with Operations, Human Resources, Merchandising, Warehouse, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives.
- Support new store openings, business process improvements, and organizational projects by ensuring compliance with QMS requirements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
Experience
- At least 2–3 years of experience in Quality Management, Process Improvement, Business Process Management, or a related field.
- Experience in the retail, distribution, manufacturing, or construction materials industry is an advantage.
Knowledge
- Quality Management Systems (QMS).
