Qualifikationen

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Staff to join our procurement team on a full-time basis. Based in our Quezon City, Metro Manila location, this role is essential to our supply chain operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for our steel manufacturing operations. As a Purchasing Staff member, you will play a vital role in supporting the procurement function and contributing to the efficiency and profitability of our manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures

• Sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards are met

• Maintaining accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices and delivery documentation

• Communicating with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules and any issues or discrepancies

• Comparing quotes from multiple vendors to secure the best value for the company

• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse and production teams to ensure adequate stock availability

• Assisting in contract negotiations and reviewing terms and conditions of purchase agreements

• Reconciling purchase orders with received goods and vendor invoices

• Maintaining supplier databases and updating procurement records regularly

• Supporting the preparation of purchasing reports and analyses for management review

What we’re looking for

• graduate of any course or equivalent; further qualification in procurement, supply chain management or business administration is preferred

• Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement or inventory management role within a manufacturing or logistics environment

• Proficiency in using procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

• Knowledge of purchasing procedures, vendor management and supply chain best practices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to identifying efficiency improvements

• Familiarity with steel manufacturing or heavy industrial procurement is advantageous but not required

• Open for fresh graduates
