Job summary

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. in Caloocan City, Metro Manila, invites applications for a Purchasing Officer role within our procurement team. The role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to support our steel production operations.

You will collaborate with production, logistics and finance, monitor inventory, prepare purchase orders, and drive cost-efficiency and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3-5 years in purchasing or procurement.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management.
• Knowledge of steel manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders with accurate specifications, quantities and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal costs whilst maintaining quality.
• Manage supplier relationships and communicate procurement requirements, schedules and performance expectations.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to forecast procurement needs.
• Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and proper storage of materials.
• Reporting on procurement activities, cost savings and supplier performance metrics to management.
