Job summary

LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. in Quezon City, Metro Manila, is seeking a Management Trainee to rotate across manufacturing, sales, finance and supply chain.

You will work with senior managers to implement processes, analyze data and identify efficiency gains while developing leadership capabilities for future supervisory roles. We welcome a candidate with a business or engineering background, strong English communication, and a hands-on mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to think strategically.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present information clearly to various audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment whilst also taking initiative independently.
• A genuine interest in the manufacturing or industrial sector and a commitment to developing a career in general management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: Previous internship experience in a manufacturing, operations or management setting
• Preferred: Knowledge of or experience with the steel manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of assigned departments, gaining hands-on experience across manufacturing, sales, finance, and supply chain functions
• Support senior managers in implementing operational processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives designed to develop your understanding of the business
• Collect, analyse and present data to support management decision-making and strategic planning
• Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions and competitive landscape relevant to the steel manufacturing sector
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members while developing your own leadership capabilities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and standard operating procedures
• Support the management team in achieving departmental targets and key performance indicators
• Attend relevant industry conferences, seminars and training programmes to enhance your professional knowledge
