Job summary

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. in Quezon City is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Staff to join our procurement team on a full-time basis. You will support the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services for our steel manufacturing operations.

Key duties include processing requisitions, evaluating suppliers, maintaining records, and assisting in negotiations. Fresh graduates are welcome, and the role offers growth within procurement and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; procurement knowledge preferred
• Experience in purchasing/procurement within manufacturing or logistics
• Proficiency with procurement software and MS Office
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail and data accuracy
• Knowledge of vendor management and supply chain best practices
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with steel manufacturing procurement is advantageous
• Open to fresh graduates

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and orders per company policies
• Source and evaluate suppliers for price and quality
• Maintain records of purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries
• Communicate with suppliers on status, schedules, and issues
• Compare quotes to secure best value
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with warehouse/production
• Assist in contract negotiations and review terms
• Reconcile orders with received goods and invoices
• Maintain supplier databases and procurement records
• Prepare purchasing reports and analyses for management
