Job summary

HireMe.ph in the Philippines is seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing Officer based in Makati City to source suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and execute Purchase Orders in line with company guidelines.

You will work with Production and other departments to ensure materials meet specifications, develop cost‑saving strategies through negotiation and vendor management, and maintain strong supplier relationships with integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accountancy, or related field.
• 3–5 years of work experience in purchasing roles, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel; strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Source qualified suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Accomplish Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Canvass requested items from departments and seek approvals from Purchasing Head.
• Negotiate with suppliers to drive cost savings and maintain vendor relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Head.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs canvasing of requested items from the Production Departments and other departments and seeks approval from the Purchasing Manager for the "best" suppliers in accordance with the Company's guidelines.
• Sources qualified suppliers and obtains competitive quotations.
• Ensures that purchased materials comply with company specifications.
• Accomplishes Purchase Orders (POs).
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Purchasing Head.

Job Requirements:

• High level of integrity, attention to detail, hardworking, and organized.
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accountancy, or a related field.
• With at least 3 to 5 years of work experience in the same position. Preferably in a FMCG or Food Manufacturing Company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience in cost analysis, vendor accreditation and sourcing strategies preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent negotiation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Having a valid driver’s license is an advantage
• Must be willing to work in Makati City.
