Job summary

Commonwealth Foods, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Officer to canvass items, source qualified suppliers, and secure competitive quotations. The role ensures materials meet specifications and processing of Purchase Orders. You will also support cost analyses and vendor accreditation efforts.

The ideal candidate has a 3–5 year background in FMCG purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Makati City-based position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High integrity, detail-oriented, hardworking and organized.
• Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accountancy, or related field.
• 3–5 years of work experience in purchasing, preferably FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Experience in cost analysis, vendor accreditation and sourcing strategies.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build supplier relationships.
• Driver's license is an advantage.
• Willing to work in Makati City.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accountancy, or a related field.


• With at least 3 to 5 years of work experience in the same position. Preferably in a FMCG or Food Manufacturing Company.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel is required.


• Experience in cost analysis, vendor accreditation and sourcing strategies preferred.


• Ability to work with minimal supervision.


• Excellent negotiation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.


• Having a valid driver’s license is an advantage
