Job summary

ZE ELECTRONIC MANUFACTURING SERVICES LIMITED is seeking a seasoned Purchasing/Buyer to source and procure materials for electronics manufacturing. The role includes supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and coordinating with Engineering and Production to align purchasing with manufacturing targets.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in similar roles, strong procurement skills, and ERP/MRP experience with BOM expertise. On-site position in Batangas, Philippines.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in Purchasing/Buyer roles within electronics manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or Supply Chain.
• Strong procurement expertise and BOM/ERP/MRP understanding.
• Familiarity with electronic components and BOM structures.
• ERP/MRP experience, with Infor LN or SAP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and purchase raw materials direct and indirect for operations.
• Identify cost-effective suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance.
• Run MRP analyses, issue purchase orders, manage MOQ and safety stock levels.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Warehouse and Quality teams on ECOs.
• Ensure material availability for production and highlight issues to SCM Manager.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data, monitor open orders and expedite critical shipments.

Job description

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• With at least 5 years working experience on Purchasing/Buyer position in Electronical related Manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology or Supply Chain
• Expertise in Procurement
• Extensive experience on technical, market and commercial aspect of the commodity/material
• Familiarity with electronic components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, PCBs) and proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOM) structures
• Strong background in ERP System (Infor / LN or SAP is an advantage)/ MRP

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Source, evaluate, and purchase raw materials, both direct (electronical material) and indirect (equipment, spare parts, office material and materials needed for the company operation)
• Identify and accredit cost-effective suppliers, negotiate purchasing contracts and monitor vendor performance
• Run MRP analysis, generate and release purchase orders and manage component lead times, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and safety stocks
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Warehouse and Quality Team in managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), resolve material shortages and align purchasing schedule with manufacturing target
• Ensure the availability of material required for production and highlight any material issue to SCM Manager and Production Planner
• Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems, monitor open orders, and expedite critical shipments
