Job summary

Bluesteel Industries Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Purchasing/Sourcing professional to develop sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, and ensure timely delivery in support of production operations.

You will coordinate with planning, warehouse, and delivery teams, obtain quotations, assess supplier performance, and prepare purchase orders, reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in the related field.
• Preferably 1–4 years in a manufacturing or production operation setting.
• Analytical skills are required.
• Leadership qualities are required.
• Good communication skills are expected.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carries out sourcing activities in a transparent manner.
• Coordinates with Planning and Warehouse to avoid overstock and with Delivery to coordinate pick-up.
• Obtains and evaluates quotations from suppliers.
• Evaluates existing suppliers based on pricing, lead time, quality, reliability, etc.
• Coordinates with suppliers and prepares purchase orders.

Responsible for the development of sourcing strategies for goods and services procurement. Carries out thorough and continuous evaluations of suppliers. Ensures suppliers' capability to deliver the required quantities and services in a timely fashion in support of production operations. Reports to the Purchasing Supervisor.

• Accepts purchase requests from the materials planner.
• Carries out sourcing activities in a transparent manner.
• Coordinated with Planning and Warehouse departments to avoid overstock of items, and the Delivery department to coordinate pick-up of items and materials.
• Obtains and evaluates quotations from suppliers.

Qualifications/Skills

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• At least one year of working experience in the related field

• Must posses reasonable analytical skills
• Must posses qualities of a leader
