Qualifications

• 5+ years in purchasing/procurement/_inventory management in hospitality, retail or similar environment.
• Strong supplier management and contract negotiation track record.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement best practices.
• Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimise procurement efficiency and cost savings.
• Manage the complete procurement cycle: requisitions, vendor selection, negotiation and POs.
• Maintain relations with suppliers to ensure quality service and pricing.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to optimise stock and reduce excess.
• Analyse spending patterns and market trends for cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, service and pricing.
• Prepare and present purchasing reports and forecasts to senior management.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join Riviera Golf Club, Inc. in Silang, Cavite. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our procurement operations and inventory management. As Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement across the organisation. This role is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the club's commitment to delivering exceptional service and facilities to our members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimise procurement efficiency and cost savings


• Manage the complete procurement cycle, including requisition processing, vendor selection, negotiation and purchase order management


• Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring quality service and competitive pricing


• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations teams to ensure adequate stock availability whilst minimising excess inventory


• Analyse spending patterns and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement improvements


• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, service and pricing criteria


• Prepare and present purchasing reports, forecasts and metrics to senior management


• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and relevant regulations


• Manage purchase orders, invoices and payment reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records


• Lead and supervise procurement team members, providing guidance and professional development as required

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management within a hospitality, retail or similar operational environment


• Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts to achieve cost reductions


• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement best practices


• Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions


• Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple purchasing priorities simultaneously


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments


• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and develop team members


• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations


• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial transactions and documentation


• Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field is preferred
