A procurement associate supports an organization's purchasing operations by processing requisitions and purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, maintaining records, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Process requisitions, create and track purchase orders, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify, source, and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collect and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, prepare reports, and support business reviews.
- Facilitate communication with vendors and suppliers, negotiate contract terms and pricing, and manage vendor onboarding.
- Verify deliveries, manage inventory levels, and coordinate shipping and logistics for procured items.
- Maintain accurate and transparent procurement records and files.
- Coordinate with various internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a technical discipline Engineering, Supply Chain, and Business Administration courses)
- With at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience working with material requirements planning tools
- Proficient in using MS Office Applications such as MS Office Word, Excel, etc.
