Job summary

SM Development Corporation in Pasay is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage general accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance for assigned properties. The role focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls.

You will handle monthly closings, accounts receivable/payable, budget inputs, and audits, ensuring proper procurement and disbursement processes are followed. This position requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and a degree in accountancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy is required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in General Accounting.
• Good interpersonal skills; customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Regular site visits of assigned properties at least weekly.
• Timely release of monthly statements of accounts.
• Implement collection policies and monitor deposits.
• Prepare daily collection reports and ensure cut-off accuracy.
• Monthly bank reconciliations and cash position reports.
• Prepare monthly financial reports: Balance Sheet, P&L, cash flow.
• Update Audited Financial Statements.
• File 100% of BIR and government returns on time.
• Assist in annual budgeting; manage property expenses per procedures.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Regular (at least once a week) site visit of assigned properties.

• Timely and accurate release of monthly statement of accounts.

• Implementation of collection policy.

• Ensure collections are deposited intact within set cut-off and daily collection reports are prepared and reviewed on time.

• Monthly preparation of bank reconciliation.

• Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports:

  • Balance Sheet

  • Profit & loss

  • Collection Efficiency

  • Accounts Receivable Aging

  • Cash Position and Cash Flow

  • Other related reports that may be required

• Updated Audited Financial Statements

• 100% filing of BIR returns and other government agencies requirements within deadline

  • Income Tax Returns

  • VAT Returns

  • Withholding Tax Returns

• Assist in preparation and review of annual budget

• Management of handled property expense thru compliance with set procurement and disbursement process

• Specials projects/tasks related to the position

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduated of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy; preferably a Certified Public Accountant

• With at least three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in General Accounting and other work-related experience

• Good interpersonal skills

• Experience in customer service field is an advantage

• Amenable to work in Pasay City, from Monday to Friday
