About the role

This role involves formulating, updating, and managing daily and weekly Master Production Schedules based on approved project deadlines and client lead times. You will sequence work orders and job assignments to maximize machine capacity, floor throughput, and resource utilization, while monitoring lead times and adjusting project scheduling to address urgent client requests or project changes. You will supervise and monitor daily production activities, ensure production targets and schedules are met, and coordinate with multiple departments including Engineering, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Purchasing.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate, update, and manage daily and weekly Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on approved project deadlines and client lead times
• Sequence work orders and job assignments to maximize machine capacity, floor throughput, and resource utilization
• Monitor lead times, evaluate production cycle times, and adjust project scheduling to address urgent client requests or project changes
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse to verify raw material availability, Bills of Materials (BOM), and hardware before loading jobs onto the shop floor
• Supervise and monitor daily production activities and ensure production targets and schedules are met
• Assign work, tasks, and responsibilities to production personnel
• Monitor production progress and address delays or operational issues
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment
• Provide instructions, coaching, and guidance to production employees
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of the Daily Production Report (DPR)

About you

• Attend work on the established schedule and maintain a professional record without excessive absenteeism
• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures
• Monitor the proper use of PPE and safety equipment
• Immediately address unsafe acts and unsafe working conditions
• Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 6S within the production area
• Ensure proper use and care of company tools, machines, and equipment
• Investigate production problems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve production efficiency
• Monitor productivity and suggest ways to reduce downtime, waste, and rework
