Job summary

DREAM PRECISION TECH CORPORATION is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead and supervise daily CNC machining and die casting production operations in our manufacturing facility.

You will assign operators, monitor performance, ensure adherence to work instructions, train staff, and drive improvements in productivity, safety, and on-time delivery. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse for seamless production flow.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily CNC machining and die casting production operations.
• Assign operators to machines and workstations according to the approved production plan and manpower availability.
• Conduct daily production briefings and communicate production targets, priorities, quality concerns, and safety requirements to operators.
• Monitor production output, cycle time, downtime, rejection, scrap, rework, and other production performance indicators.
• Ensure that production targets and delivery schedules are achieved according to the production plan.
• Monitor CNC and die casting processes to ensure compliance with approved work instructions, process parameters, control plans, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Ensure operators perform required start-up checks and follow established machine operating procedures.
• Verify that correct materials, tools, dies, fixtures, programs, and other production requirements are being used.
• Ensure proper identification, handling, and segregation of good products, work-in-process (WIP), rejected products, and nonconforming materials.
• Immediately report abnormal machine conditions, equipment breakdowns, tooling problems, process abnormalities, and other production issues to the Production Supervisor/Manager and coordinate with Maintenance.
• Coordinate with Quality Control regarding product inspection, quality concerns, defects, nonconforming products, and corrective actions.
• Stop or escalate abnormal production conditions when continued operation may result in defective products, equipment damage, or safety risks, in accordance with company procedures.
• Investigate production problems and participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor common manufacturing defects and ensure immediate containment and corrective action when abnormalities are detected.
• Ensure operators follow approved process parameters and do not make unauthorized changes to machine settings or production processes.
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, work performance, discipline, and manpower utilization within the assigned production area.
• Train and guide newly assigned operators regarding work instructions, machine operation, quality requirements, safety procedures, and workplace rules.
• Ensure proper turnover between shifts, including production status, machine condition, quality concerns, pending work, and other important information.
• Prepare and maintain accurate daily production reports, downtime records, rejection reports, manpower records, and other required production documentation.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, housekeeping, PPE, machine safety, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.
• Ensure measuring instruments, tools, fixtures, and production equipment are properly handled and maintained.
• Coordinate with Warehouse regarding material availability, issuance, WIP movement, and finished product handling.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, cycle time, material utilization, and production efficiency.
• Ensure employees under the assigned area comply with Company Policies, Rules and Regulations.
• Perform other production-related duties that may be assigned by the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, or Management.
