Job summary

Journey Tech is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure quality, safety, and adherence to company policies. You will lead production teams, coordinate resources, and drive continuous improvement to achieve targets.

You will manage planning, scheduling, inventory, and cross-functional collaboration with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality Control, while promoting Lean practices and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in production supervision.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operators and technicians.
• Ensure production schedules are adhered to and adjust resources or shifts as needed.
• Oversee daily production activities and monitor performance.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and address defects or deviations from specifications.

• Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure the efficient production of goods while maintaining quality standards, safety protocols, and company policies. The role involves supervising production teams, coordinating resources, resolving issues, and continuously improving processes to meet production targets and enhance operational efficiency.

• Supervise Production Team: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operators and technicians to meet production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
• Production Planning & Scheduling: Ensure production schedules are adhered to and adjust resources or shifts as needed to meet production demands and deadlines.
• Monitor & Control Production Processes: Oversee daily production activities, monitor performance, and ensure equipment and machinery are operating efficiently.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards by monitoring and inspecting production processes. Address any issues related to defects or deviations from specifications.
• Safety & Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols and OSH guidelines within the production area. Conduct regular safety audits and training for team members.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Address production issues, equipment malfunctions, or delays in a timely manner to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies, ensuring availability for uninterrupted production.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track production metrics (e.g., output, efficiency, downtime) and report on performance to management. Implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
• Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development for production staff to enhance their skills, productivity, and knowledge of best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Control, and Logistics to ensure smooth operations and resolve any cross-functional challenges.
