Job summary

GMC Cebu is seeking a hands-on Production Foreman to lead shift operations in a food manufacturing facility. You will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating materials, personnel, and equipment according to the production plan.

The role requires mechanical or electrical background, strong organizational skills, and the ability to resiliently handle pressure and rotational shifts. Leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree in mechanical or electrical field is preferred.
• Vocational background in a related mechanical or electrical field may be considered.
• Computer literate and proficient with basic software/tools.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills are essential.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus and safety-conscious mindset is required.

Responsibilities

• Champion and promote Safety First at all times.
• Follow safety standards, protocols and SOPs.
• Identify and report safety violations or deviations.
• Coordinate with Control Room Operator on materials and storage.
• Inspect materials before loading into bag intake system for quality concerns.
• Report quality concerns to Operations Supervisor.
• Determine material loading sequences based on batching priorities.
• Organize activities and personnel according to the production plan.

What You'll Do

Safety & Operations

• Champion and promote Safety First at all times.

• Strictly follow established safety standards, protocols, and SOPs.

• Identify and report any safety violations or deviations from required practices.

• Coordinate closely with the Control Room Operator on the type and quantity of materials to be fed and their designated storage bins.

• Inspect materials prior to loading into the bag intake system, checking for concerns such as granulation, infestation, color, odor, and other quality issues.

• Immediately report any quality-related concerns to the Operations Supervisor.

• Determine and optimize the sequence of material loading and transfers based on batching priorities and operational requirements.

• Organize activities and personnel according to the production plan.

What We're Looking For

• Preferably a college graduate with a mechanical or electrical background.

• Vocational graduate in a related mechanical or electrical field may also be considered.

• Computer literate.

• Strong organizational and coordination skills.

• Good communication and active listening skills.

• Ability to work for extended periods and perform effectively under pressure.

• Willing to work on a rotational shift.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
