Job summary

SAN MIGUEL GLOBAL POWER HOLDINGS CORP. seeks an Engineer with procurement expertise to source materials and services for Masinloc Power Plant. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 2 years in procurement or supply chain, with SAP proficiency and strong negotiation skills to deliver best-value options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• At least 2 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience.
• Proficient in SAP and PR/PO processing, vendor data and MM modules.
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract administration and cost analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, urgency in time-sensitive requests, and procurement timelines.
• Good judgment, assertiveness in evaluating quotes, and best-value recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships.

Job description

Responsible for sourcing materials and services, managing vendor relations, ensuring contract compliance, and upholding company policies and procedures in all procurement transactions. The role aims to provide the required spare parts and services to support the Masinloc Power Plant's operations in the most cost-effective manner, without compromising quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualification

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• With at least 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in the power, energy, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors

• Proficient in procurement systems such as SAP, including PR/PO processing, vendor master data, and materials management modules.

• Knowledgeable in sourcing strategies, contract administration, cost analysis, and basic technical specifications of plant materials and spare parts.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in processing time-sensitive requests and managing procurement timelines

• Possesses good judgment and assertiveness in evaluating vendor quotations and recommending best-value options

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build supplier relationships and resolve procurement-related concerns effectively.

• Upholds a strong sense of ethics, accountability, and compliance with company policies and procurement guidelines
