Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, OSH, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Certification as Environmental Compliance Officer (ECO) or OSH Officer or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in environmental compliance, pollution control, or occupational safety.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, incl. Environmental Management Act and OSH Standards.
• Experience with water quality monitoring and wastewater treatment technologies.
• Proficient with environmental monitoring equipment and data analysis software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Filipino.
• Ability to investigate, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Strong training and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented and compliant.
• Experience in water resources, beverage production, or natural resource management preferred.

About the role

Philippine Spring Water Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pollution Control Officer/Safety Officer to join our team in Davao City. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring our operations maintain the highest environmental and occupational safety standards. As Pollution Control Officer/Safety Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and mitigating environmental and workplace hazards across our facilities. This role is essential to our commitment to environmental stewardship and the wellbeing of our employees, whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess air, water, and land pollution levels at facility operations and develop strategies to minimise environmental impact

• Conduct regular environmental audits and site inspections to identify potential pollution sources and areas of non-compliance

• Implement and maintain pollution control systems, equipment, and processes in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Develop, update, and enforce environmental and safety policies, procedures, and protocols across the organisation

• Investigate environmental incidents and workplace accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions

• Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental regulations, safety procedures, and best practices

• Maintain detailed records of environmental monitoring data, safety incidents, and compliance documentation

• Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and environmental authorities regarding permits, licences, and compliance matters

• Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and develop control measures

• Prepare reports and recommendations on environmental and safety performance for senior management

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline

• Professional certification as an Environmental Compliance Officer (ECO), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Officer, or equivalent recognised qualification

• Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in environmental compliance, pollution control, or occupational safety roles

• Comprehensive knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards applicable in the Philippines, including the Environmental Management Act and Occupational Safety and Health Standards

• Strong understanding of water quality monitoring, wastewater treatment processes, and pollution prevention technologies

• Proficiency in environmental monitoring equipment and data analysis software

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino

• Proven ability to conduct investigations, analyse data, and prepare comprehensive reports

• Strong interpersonal and training skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels

• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and compliance matters

• Problem-solving capabilities and proactive approach to identifying and resolving environmental and safety issues

• Preferred experience in the water resources, beverage production, or natural resource management industries
