Job summary

Homni (PH) Electronics Corp. is seeking a dedicated Pollution Control Officer / Safety Officer for our Malvar Batangas facility. This full-time role focuses on environmental stewardship and workplace safety, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing control programs.

The candidate will monitor emissions, conduct inspections, develop safety protocols, and coordinate with authorities. A degree in engineering, a PCO/SO certification, and 3–5 years of relevant experience are required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Certification as Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer.
• 3–5 years of experience in pollution control, environmental management, or OSH in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of OSHS regulations and standards.
• Proficiency with environmental monitoring techniques and equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Filipino.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and management.
• Computer proficiency with data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor air, water and waste emissions for regulatory compliance.
• Inspect production areas and facilities for pollution control and safety hazards.
• Develop and maintain pollution prevention programs and safety protocols.
• Prepare documentation: pollution control reports, safety audits, compliance records.
• Investigate pollution-related incidents and accidents; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Conduct safety Training sessions for employees on prevention and safe practices.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and environmental agencies for inspections and compliance.
• Collaborate with operations to implement sustainable practices and reduce environmental impact.
• Maintain environmental monitoring equipment and ensure accurate data collection.
• Advise management on environmental and safety risks and recommend improvements.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pollution Control Officer / Safety Officer to join Homni (PH) Electronics Corp. in our Malvar Batangas facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to environmental stewardship and workplace safety. As a key member of our Occupational Health and Safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations comply with all relevant environmental regulations, pollution control standards and workplace safety protocols. This position is integral to protecting both our employees and the surrounding environment, whilst supporting our operational excellence objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitoring and managing air, water and waste emissions to ensure compliance with Philippine Environmental Quality Standards and relevant regulatory requirements

• Conducting regular inspections of production areas, equipment and facilities to identify potential pollution control and safety hazards

• Developing, implementing and maintaining pollution prevention programmes and safety protocols across all operational areas

• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including pollution control reports, safety audits and compliance records

• Investigating pollution-related incidents and workplace accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions

• Conducting safety awareness and training sessions for employees on pollution prevention, hazard recognition and safe work practices

• Liaising with regulatory authorities and environmental agencies to ensure facility compliance and facilitate inspections

• Collaborating with operations and manufacturing teams to implement sustainable practices and reduce environmental impact

• Maintaining environmental monitoring equipment and ensuring accurate data collection and analysis

• Advising management on environmental and safety risks and recommending improvements to operational practices

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

• Valid certification as a Pollution Control Officer and Safety Officer from a recognized regulatory body or institution.

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in pollution control, environmental management or occupational health and safety within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• In-depth knowledge of Philippine environmental laws, regulations and standards, particularly those applicable to electronics manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of occupational safety and health regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).

• Proficiency in environmental monitoring techniques and the use of monitoring equipment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and management

• Computer proficiency with experience in data analysis and report preparation

• Proven commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on environmental and safety best practices
