Job summary

Tae Sung Co in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines seeks an environmental engineer with strong knowledge of Philippine environmental laws and DENR-EMB regulations to ensure EMS compliance and regulatory reporting.

The role involves coordinating monitoring activities, preparing SMRs/CMRs, and handling hazardous waste documentation. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and strong communication skills are required, with exposure to ISO 14001 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in Philippine environmental laws and DENR-EMB regulations.
• Implement EMS and ensure compliance with ECC Conditions, PTO and other environmental requirements.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring activities and maintain regulatory records.
• Prepare and submit SMRs, CMRs, and hazardous waste documentation to the DENR-EMB.
• Familiar with hazardous waste identification, segregation, storage, labeling, manifesting and disposal.
• Conduct environmental inspections and coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
• Familiar with ISO 14001 and continual environmental performance improvement.

Knowledgeable in Phil. Environmental laws and DENR-EMB regulations, including Philippine Clean Air Act (8749), Clean Water Act (RA 9275), Toxic Substance & Hazardous & Nuclear Wastes Control Act (RA 6969), Ecological Solid Waste Management Act (RA 9003), & Philippine Environmental Impact Statement (EIS System (PD 1586))

Experienced in implementing Environmental management System (EMS) and ensuring compliance with Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) Conditions, Permit to Operate (PTO), and other applicable environmental requirements

Skilled in coordinating environmental monitoring activities, maintaining regulatory records, preparing and submitting Self-Monitoring Reports (SMRs), Compliance Monitoring Reports (CMRs), and hazardous waste documentation to the DENR-EMB

Familiar with hazardous waste identification, segregation, storage, labeling, manifesting, and disposal in accordance with RA 6969 and DENR regulations

Capable of conducting environmental inspections, identifying compliance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and coordinating with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits

Familiar with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and their application in achieving regulatory compliance and continual environmental performance improvement
