Job summary

Yamaha Motor Philippines is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Officer to monitor air, water and waste quality in line with Philippine laws and to prepare reports for DENR and internal audits.

The ideal candidate will hold a engineering degree, PCO Basic Training, and have knowledge of ISO 14001 EMS and related reporting requirements. The role supports sustainability training and awareness for staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a 4-year course.
• PCO Basic Training; Category B.
• Knowledge of EMS and government environmental reporting requirements.
• Familiarity with related ISO management systems is an advantage.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts monitoring of air, water, and waste quality in compliance with Philippine laws (RA 8749, RA 9275, RA9003, RA 6969).


• Prepares documentation for environmental data for reporting and analysis.


• Conducts monitoring of emissions and waste.


• Prepares Self-Monitoring Reports (SMR), Compliance Monitoring Reports (CMR), and Hazardous Waste Manifest Forms.


• Maintains organized records for internal audits and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) inspections.


• Participates in waste segregation, recycling and disposal programs.


• Monitors proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.


• Coordinates with accredited waste haulers and treatment facilities.


• Helps conduct environmental awareness campaigns and training sessions.


• Promotes sustainability practices among employees.


• Assists in internal and external environmental audits.


• Prepares facilities and documentation for external inspections by DENR or Local Government Units (LGUs).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree, Engineering or 4-Years Course;


• PCO Basic Training; Category B


• Knowledge in ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS); Chemical Management, Wastewater Treatment Plant; Government reportorial related to Environment; Licenses and Permits related to Environment (DENR, LLDA, PDEA, PNP, PEZA).


• Background in ISO 45001 OHS Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System is advantage.
