Mc MAI (CEBU) TRADING CORPORATION is seeking an experienced Environmental, Safety and Health professional to oversee pollution control and safety compliance across branches. You will ensure adherence to environmental laws and implement robust safety programs, trainings, audits, and inspections.
Responsibilities include coordinating permits, monitoring facilities, and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure timely reporting and ongoing compliance.
College graduate in any engineering-related course.
Preferably with 40 hours of Basic Pollution Control Officer Training
Preferably with 40 hours LLDA Basic Pollution Control Training
40 Hours Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training SO
Preferably with 40 hours of OSH Advanced Training (LCM, SPA, TOT)
Ability to implement and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws that cover the operations of the company
Proven track record in developing and implementing safety programs and compliance procedures
Ability to conduct training, audits, and inspections effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with employees, management, and regulatory bodies.
Together with the Managing Head, ensures compliance with the requirements of PD 1586, RA 8749, RA 9003, RA 9275, their respective implementing rules and regulations.
Attends requirements of the related agencies prior to the construction or installation of pollution control facilities including the application and securing of necessary pollution permits and renewal thereof.
Monitors activities pertaining to the installation or construction of pollution source and control facilities with the end in view of ensuring their compliance with the air, noise, and water quality standards; the PCO and the head of the establishment shall be responsible for any violations of P.D 984 and its implementing rules and regulations.
Supervises the proper operation and maintenance of pollution control facilities of the assigned branch.
Reports within reasonable time of the Authority the breakdown of any pollution control facility, and the estimated actual date of completion/repair and operation.
Promptly submits, validated/certified as correct by the Manager, periodic reports as stipulated or as required by the Authority.
Acts as a liaison officer with the Authority, shall keep himself-abreast with the requirements of the Authority and the latest available technology on prevention control and abatement and/or Authority.
Maintains liaison with the city/provincial/municipal or local pollution control officers.
Recommends the management the installation and operation of additional equipmentfor the pollution abatement facilities as needed.
Monitors, prepares and complies reports and permits as required from related government agencies.
Conducts training, forum and toolbox talks, as needed, to provide instructions on the specific Environmental, Safety and Health concerns in the assigned branch.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Implements occupational safety and health programs in the workplace in accordance with the provisions of legal standards.
Promptly submits, validated/certified as correct by the Manager, periodic reports as stipulated or as required by the Authority.
Serves as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee. As such, shall:
Prepares minutes of the meeting
Reports status of recommendations made.
Notifies members of the meetings
Submits to the employer a report of the activities of the committee, including recommendations made.
Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and the workers.
Conducts investigation of accidents as a member of the Health and Safety Committee and submits his separate report and analysis of accidents to the employer.
Coordinates all health and safety training programs for the company.
Conducts health and safety inspection as a member of the committee and monitors Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and safety of warehouse personnel.
Provides assistance to government agencies in the conduct of safety and health inspections, accident investigation or any other related programs.
Monitors, prepares and complies reports and permits as required from related government agencies.
Conducts training, forum, and toolbox talk, as needed, to provide instruction on specific Environmental, Safety and Health concerns in the assigned branch.
Ensures that the company complies with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies across operational sites
Monitors and reports non-compliance issues, and supports corrective and preventive actions
m. Coordinates with different departments to review compliance-related processes and recommends improvements.
Assists in maintaining updated records of licenses, permits, and certifications required by regulatory agencies.
Prepares compliance reports and documentation for submission to internal and external auditors or regulatory bodies
Conducts or assists with internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
Supports the implementation of company-wide compliance initiatives and awareness campaigns.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
