Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, preferably electronics or semiconductor.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Company's occupational safety and environmental programs.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and wastes.
• Monitor pollution control measures and environmental compliance.
• Prepare and maintain required safety, environmental, and regulatory records and reports.
• Coordinate environmental and safety permits, registrations, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and EHS training.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including drills.

About the role

We are looking for a Pollution Control & Safety Officer who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety, environmental, and pollution control requirements within our electronics manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will help establish and implement the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs, monitor workplace and environmental conditions, manage hazardous materials and wastes, and promote a safe and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Company's occupational safety and environmental programs.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and wastes.
• Monitor pollution control measures, environmental compliance, and waste management activities.
• Prepare and maintain required safety, environmental, and regulatory records and reports.
• Coordinate required environmental and safety permits, registrations, inspections, and regulatory submissions.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO).
• DOLE-accredited Safety Officer with appropriate OSH training.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably electronics or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Philippine occupational safety, environmental, hazardous waste, and pollution control requirements.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, waste management, emergency response, and workplace safety.
• Good documentation, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and conduct regular plant inspections.
