Job summary

SM Engineering Design and Development Corp. seeks a seasoned Quality Management Leader to drive the QMS, ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance, and oversee audits and CAPA programs.

You will develop policies, monitor KPIs, and guide continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The role requires 8–10 years in Quality Management Systems, with 3–5 years in a leadership capacity, and a certified Lead Auditor or Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in Quality Management Systems, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• ISO certification (required).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management principles.
• Certified Lead Auditor and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Develop, review, and maintain quality policies, procedures, standards, and documented processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal governance standards.
• Manage the internal audit program, including planning, execution, reporting, and corrective action monitoring.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA activities for quality issues and nonconformities.
• Establish and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and dashboards.
• Facilitate Management Review meetings and report on QMS performance.
• Drive continuous improvement using PDCA, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Oversee document control processes for policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
• Promote risk-based thinking and support enterprise risk management for quality and operations.
• Support customer satisfaction programs by analyzing feedback and service performance.

• Develop, review, and maintain quality policies, procedures, standards, and documented processes.
• Ensure organizational compliance with ISO requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal governance standards.
• Manage the internal audit program, including audit planning, execution, reporting, and corrective action monitoring.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities for quality issues, audit findings, and nonconformities.
• Establish and monitor quality objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality performance dashboards.
• Facilitate Management Review meetings and provide periodic reports on QMS performance and improvement opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using recognized methodologies such as PDCA, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Oversee document control processes to ensure effective management of policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
• Promote risk-based thinking and support enterprise risk management activities related to quality and operational processes.
• Support customer satisfaction programs by analyzing feedback, complaints, and service performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure employee awareness, training, and competency development related to quality management requirements.
• Collaborate with business units, project teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure adherence to quality standards and process requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external certification audits, regulatory assessments, and quality compliance matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• At least 8-10 years of experience in Quality Management Systems, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Candidate must have ISO certification.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management principles.
• Certified Lead Auditor and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in governance, compliance, process improvement, and audit management.
