Surgeway Biosciences Philippines Inc. (SBPI) is expanding its commercial team and is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive (BDE) to support the growth of our pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical device, and cosmetics business in the Philippines.
The BDE will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Head Office to manage existing client relationships while independently identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities with distributors, wholesalers, and institutional customers.
The role requires a self-driven, commercially oriented professional who can build and manage a structured sales pipeline, develop client relationships, present products and proposals, coordinate internally, and consistently follow through on opportunities from initial contact to business closure.
This is a field-based role involving regular client meetings and travel within the Philippines. The position offers an opportunity to play a key role in building and growing SBPI's presence in the Philippine market.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical device, cosmetics distributors, wholesalers, and institutional customers.
Accompany the Business Development Manager in meetings with existing clients and progressively take responsibility for supporting and strengthening these accounts.
Independently identify, approach, and develop new business opportunities across SBPI's product portfolio.
Build and manage an independent sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are accurately tracked and regularly updated.
Conduct client meetings, product presentations, business pitches, and proposal discussions with prospective customers.
Follow established company processes, including use of approved pitch decks, proposal formats, and distributor documentation.
Work closely with the Regulatory Affairs team to ensure accurate representation of product information, regulatory status, and registration requirements.
Coordinate with Head Office on pricing, product positioning, commercial proposals, and other business development requirements.
Escalate non-standard commercial terms, discounts, payment terms, or contractual exceptions for approval before making commitments to clients.
Provide regular updates on client meetings, pipeline progress, opportunities, challenges, and next steps.
Participate in regular business reviews with Head Office and work towards agreed business development and pipeline targets.
Represent SBPI professionally during client meetings and joint customer visits with the Head Office team.
Contribute to the overall development and expansion of SBPI's business in the Philippines.
3-5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development.
Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical device, cosmetics, healthcare, or related industries is preferred.
Experience dealing with distributors, wholesalers, hospitals, institutions, or other B2B customers is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to independently develop and manage a sales pipeline.
Strong client relationship management, presentation, negotiation, and proposal skills.
Good understanding of the Philippine pharmaceutical/healthcare market and preferably basic knowledge of product registration and regulatory requirements.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Highly organized and comfortable with structured reporting, follow-ups, and CRM/pipeline tracking.
Self-motivated, proactive, resilient, and capable of working independently.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
Willingness to travel regularly for client meetings within the Philippines.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field preferred.
