JOB PURPOSE
The Performance Management Specialist is responsible for administering and enhancing the organization’s performance management framework, including performance evaluation cycles, promotion assessments, employee movement reviews, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and talent review processes. The role ensures fair, consistent, and data-driven talent decisions by providing insights, facilitating assessments, and maintaining governance across performance and career progression programs.
This position acts as a subject matter expert and partner to HR and business leaders in supporting employee performance, development, advancement, and organizational effectiveness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Management Administration
- Manage the end-to-end performance management cycle, including goal setting, midyear reviews, year-end evaluations, and calibration activities.
- Monitor completion and compliance of performance reviews across the organization.
- Ensure performance ratings are applied consistently and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Prepare performance analytics, reports, and dashboards for leadership review.
Promotion Assessment and Career Progression
- Evaluate promotion requests and supporting documentation against established promotion criteria and competency requirements.
- Coordinate promotion assessment processes, calibration sessions, and approval workflows.
- Conduct analysis of employee readiness, performance history, competencies, and business justification for advancement.
- Maintain promotion governance, documentation, and audit requirements.
- Generate reports and recommendations to support talent and workforce planning decisions.
Employee Movement and Talent Mobility
- Review and assess employee transfers, role changes, lateral movements, and internal mobility requests.
- Ensure employee movements align with organizational policies, competency requirements, and workforce planning objectives.
- Partner with HR and Department leaders to evaluate talent placement opportunities.
- Track internal mobility metrics and provide recommendations to improve talent movement strategies.
Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) Management
- Facilitate and administer Performance Improvement Plans for employees requiring performance intervention.
- Guide managers and HR partners on PIP requirements, timelines, documentation, and expectations.
- Monitor progress against improvement objectives and maintain accurate records.
- Analyze PIP outcomes and identify trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and procedural standards.
Talent Review and Succession Support
- Support talent review discussions by preparing performance and potential assessments.
- Consolidate employee performance data and talent insights for succession planning activities.
- Assist in identifying high-potential employees and development opportunities.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for talent development and workforce readiness.
Analytics and Reporting
- Develop dashboards and reports related to performance, promotions, mobility, and PIP outcomes.
- Analyze workforce trends and identify risks, gaps, and opportunities.
- Present findings and recommendations to HR leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of employee data.
Policy and Process Improvement
- Recommend improvements to performance management, promotion, and mobility frameworks.
- Support updates to policies, guidelines, forms, and assessment tools.
- Participate in system enhancements and process automation initiatives.
- Benchmark industry best practices and support implementation of new programs.

EDUATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Performance Management, Organizational Development, HR Operations, or a related HR function.
- Experience supporting performance review cycles, promotion processes, and employee movement programs.
- Experience handling Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and talent assessment programs is preferred
