Job summary

Southern Arms Corporation is seeking an experienced Hiring Manager to lead our recruitment team in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. This full-time role oversees the entire hiring process, shapes workforce strategy, and builds high-performing teams across the organisation.

You will drive talent acquisition, manage stakeholders, mentor juniors, and ensure compliance with local laws and policies while maintaining a strong employer brand and pipeline.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in recruitment or HR with 2+ years in a hiring manager role.
• Proven track record filling roles across departments and levels.
• Strong knowledge of Philippines employment laws and best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience using ATS and recruitment platforms.

Responsibilities

About the role

Southern Arms Corporation is seeking an experienced and dynamic Hiring Manager to join our recruitment team. This is a full-time position based in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for leading our recruitment initiatives, managing the entire hiring process, and building high-performing teams across the organisation. You will play a crucial part in shaping our workforce and supporting the company’s growth objectives through effective talent acquisition and management.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing recruitment strategies aligned with organisational goals and business needs

• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection

• Collaborating with department heads and hiring teams to identify staffing requirements and role specifications

• Building and maintaining relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive recruitment experience throughout the process

• Conducting interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications and cultural fit

• Negotiating employment terms and extending job offers to selected candidates

• Maintaining accurate recruitment records and generating reports on hiring metrics and pipeline status

• Ensuring compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process

• Mentoring and developing junior recruitment team members

• Staying informed of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and recruitment

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in recruitment or human resources, with at least 2 years in a hiring manager or similar leadership role

• Proven track record of successfully filling positions across multiple departments and levels within an organisation

• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment legislation, and labour laws in the Philippines

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders

• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and meet hiring deadlines

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics and identify process improvements

• Experience in building and maintaining talent pipelines and employer branding initiatives

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• Preferred experience in agency recruitment or working within a fast-paced, dynamic recruitment environment
