About the role

SCE Consulting Inc. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing team on a full-time basis. Based in Paranaque City, Metro Manila, this role is essential to ensuring that all payroll operations run smoothly and efficiently. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing accurate and timely compensation to our employees. This position is critical to maintaining employee satisfaction and supporting the financial operations of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Processing monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of salary disbursements
• Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including personal information, tax details and deductions
• Calculating wages, bonuses, commissions, overtime pay and other compensation components in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Preparing and filing payroll tax returns and other statutory reports required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue and other relevant authorities
• Managing employee benefits administration, including health insurance, SSS contributions, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG fund submissions
• Reconciling payroll accounts and resolving discrepancies or payment issues promptly
• Responding to employee inquiries regarding compensation, deductions and payroll-related mattersStaying up-to-date with Philippine payroll legislation and regulatory changes to ensure compliance
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive payroll information and adhering to data protection standards
• Collaborating with Human Resources and Finance departments to support overall business operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar payroll administration role, preferably in the Philippines
• Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
• Proficiency in payroll management systems and accounting software; experience with HRIS platforms is advantageous
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee information
• Certification in payroll or accounting (such as Certified Payroll Professional) is preferred but not essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
