Job summary

J&T Express Philippines is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage employees’ payroll, timekeeping, and wage calculations in line with company budgets and policies. The role requires thorough review of time records and accurate payroll processing.

You will collaborate with HR and finance, ensuring compliance with DOLE/NWPC guidelines, maintain confidentiality, and support benefits-related activities. A degree in Accounting/HR/Business and proven payroll experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, HR or Business Administration; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years experience in HR, Payroll or related functions
• Experience as Payroll Officer/Clerk or similar role (manual and system)
• Knowledge and/or Hands-on experience with HRIS and accounting software
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and payroll practices

Responsibilities

• Reviews and validates employees Daily Time Record (DTR).
• Prepares and processes employees’ compensation bi-monthly.
• Ensures correctness of payroll computation including deductions.
• Ensures timely processing of payroll.
• Answers payroll-related employee concerns and disputes.
• Checks DOLE and NWPC announcements and directives on employee statutory benefits.
• Assists Comp & Ben with benefits-related activities.
