Job summary

J&T Express Philippines is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage payroll processing, timekeeping, and compensation cycles with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality. The role supports HR and Benefits teams and ensures compliance with local regulations, while handling employee inquiries and maintaining payroll data integrity.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting/HR/business, 3+ years in payroll or HR, and experience with HRIS and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or Business Administration, Associate’s Degree or a combination of education and experience.
• Proven work experience in Payroll/HR roles (3+ years).
• Experience as Payroll Officer/Payroll Clerk or similar role (manual and system).
• Knowledge of HRIS and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and validates employees Daily Time Record (DTR).
• Prepares and processes employees’ compensation bi-monthly.
• Ensures correctness of payroll computations including deductions.
• Prepares discrepancy reports.
• Ensures timely processing of payroll.
• Answers payroll-related employee concerns and disputes.
• Checks DOLE and NWPC announcements on employee benefits.
• Assists Comp & Ben with benefits activities.
