Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and with teams across US and international locations/time zones.
• Ability to summarize information clearly for management and to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process patent records predominantly in Japanese.
• Act as Japanese Expert handling Japanese-related patent questions for Harmonization Team.
• Conduct in-depth internet research to ensure global patent data quality, focusing on Japanese documents.
• Identify patent ownership through corporate research, M&A, spin-offs, name changes, and patent transactions.
• Perform quality control to ensure highly accurate and reliable data.
• Validate and update customer information in the Harmonizer Tool.
• Ensure updates in customer databases meet quality standards.
• Meet productivity targets based on efficiency and accuracy.
• Suggest future process improvements for team or personal performance.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration.

About the role

A Bilingual Customer Research & Analytics Analyst is responsible for performing web-based research on technology driven corporations and institutions and in validating and quality-assuring patent data by assigning patents to their accurate commercial owners and verifying their legal validity and remaining lifetime. PatentSight's superior datasets allow customers to unveil valuable patent insights and see clearly who wields commercial power over the inventions that underpin promising patents.

Key responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for processing companies which patent records/information are in Japanese
• Act as Japanese Expert who is responsible in providing answers to Japanese-related patent questions coming from the Harmonization Team
• Conduct in-depth internet research to achieve data quality in patents globally with additional focus on identifying, understanding, and accurately processing Japanese documents/information
• Identify patent ownership based on extensive research on corporate structure, M&A, Spin-offs, company name changes, and patent transactions
• Conduct quality control measures to ensure data is highly accurate and reliable
• Validate, update and verify customer information in the Harmonizer Tool
• Ensure updates or changes in customer database are accurate and are meeting quality standards
• Meet or exceed productivity targets that are based on efficiency
• Identify future process improvements to further improve team or individual performance
• Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and team members to foster collaboration

About you

• Bachelor's degree holder
