The role emphasizes handling Japanese records, partnering with the Harmonization Team and global colleagues to ensure high-quality data, with a focus on independent work and effective cross-location coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder is required.
• JLPT certification is required.
• Reading proficiency in Kanji and Hiragana (intermediate to advanced).
• Experience in research, data quality and analysis (preferably as bilingual analyst).
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams across US and international locations/time zones.
• Ability to summarize information clearly for management and to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Process patent records predominantly in Japanese.
• Act as Japanese Expert handling Japanese-related patent questions for Harmonization Team.
• Conduct in-depth internet research to ensure global patent data quality, focusing on Japanese documents.
• Identify patent ownership through corporate research, M&A, spin-offs, name changes, and patent transactions.
• Perform quality control to ensure highly accurate and reliable data.
• Validate and update customer information in the Harmonizer Tool.
• Ensure updates in customer databases meet quality standards.
• Meet productivity targets based on efficiency and accuracy.
• Suggest future process improvements for team or personal performance.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration.
