Reed Elsevier Philippines is seeking a Bilingual Research & Analytics Analyst to perform web-based research on technology-driven firms and validate patent data. The role focuses on Japanese records, data quality, and collaboration with US and international teams.

You will ensure accurate ownership determination and stay aligned with SLAs while leveraging enterprise AI tools to enhance workflows. Hybrid setup and day-one benefits support ongoing growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as Japanese expert for Harmonization Team questions.
• Conduct internet research to ensure data quality in patents.
• Identify patent ownership via corporate structure and transactions.
• Perform quality control to ensure data accuracy.
• Validate and update customer information in Harmonizer Tool.
• Ensure customer data meets quality standards and SLAs.
• Meet productivity targets based on process type and portfolio size.

A Bilingual Customer Research & Analytics Analyst is responsible in performing web-based research on technology driven corporations and institutions and in validating and quality-assuring patent data by assigning patents to their accurate commercial owners and verifying their legal validity and remaining lifetime. PatentSight’s superior datasets allow customers to unveil valuable patent insights and see clearly who wields commercial power over the inventions that underpin promising patents.

Accountabilities:

• Primarily responsible for processing companies which patent records/ information are in Japanese
• Acts as Japanese Expert who is responsible in providing answers to Japanese-related patent questions coming from the Harmonization Team
• Data Quality – Conduct in-depth internet research to achieve data quality in patents globally with additional focus on identifying, understanding, and accurately processing Japanese documents/ information
• Identify patent ownership based on extensive research on corporate structure, M&A, Spin-offs, company name changes, and patent transactions
• Conduct quality control measures to ensure data is highly accurate and reliable
• Responsible for validating, updating and verifying customer information in the Harmonizer Tool
• Ensure updates or changes in customer database are accurate and are meeting quality standards
• Meet or exceed productivity targets that are based on efficiency (Target of processing time per customer may vary depending on the type of process and portfolio size)
• Identify future process improvements to further improve team or individual performance
• Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and team members to foster collaboration
• Ensure data standards and SLAs are met
• Communicate effectively on the status of tasks and projects in progress

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree holder
• JLPT N1 certification
• Intermediate to advanced reading proficiency in Kanji and Hiragana
• Experience in research, data quality and analysis (preferably as Bilingual analyst)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams consisting of US and International-based employees, as well as customer resources in multiple locations and time zones
• Ability to provide detailed information and along with the ability to summarize effectively for management
• Ability to work under pressure and within an environment of constant change
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
