TerraBarn Inc. is seeking an experienced Paralegal to provide legal research, documentation, contract administration, regulatory compliance, case management, and administrative support.
You will work with internal teams, external counsel, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure timely handling of legal matters. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a paralegal or similar role, with strong skills in legal research, contract administration, and records management.
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to provide legal research, documentation, contract administration, regulatory compliance, case management, and administrative support to the Legal function.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal business units, external counsel, government agencies, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate handling of legal matters.
Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, jurisprudence, and regulatory issuances.
Prepare legal research summaries, reports, and supporting materials for legal review.
Draft, review, format, and maintain contracts, agreements, notices, letters, and other legal documents.
Maintain organized legal files, pleadings, contracts, correspondence, and case records.
Monitor legal deadlines, hearings, submissions, and important dates.
Assist in contract review and identify potential legal, compliance, and documentation concerns.
Coordinate with business units regarding contract requirements and execution.
Provide administrative support to the Legal team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining legal calendars, and preparing meeting materials.
Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Coordinate with Compliance on regulatory requirements and submissions.
Liaise with internal departments, external counsel, government agencies, regulators, and service providers on legal matters.
Monitor updates to laws, regulations, circulars, and internal policies and communicate relevant changes.
Assist in responding to legal inquiries, requests, and documentary requirements.
Handle other legal support duties, special projects, and assignments as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a related legal support role.
Strong knowledge and experience in legal research, documentation, contract administration, and records management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple legal matters, deadlines, and priorities.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in an insurance, financial services, or corporate legal environment is an advantage.
Completion of Juris Doctor (JD) units is an advantage.
Paralegal certification is an advantage but not required.
Active Bar membership is not required.
