Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search are seeking an Operations & Trading Assistant to grow their team in the Philippines. The role will support international transactions from purchase through final delivery, working closely with Traders to ensure accuracy and efficiency across logistics, contracts, and customer relationships.

Located in Makati, Philippines, this position requires 2+ years in trade operations and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in trade operations or international logistics.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems/IBM I (AS400) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments; communicate with suppliers, forwarders and customs brokers; track costs for profitability.
• Process and review shipping logistics paperwork; track warehouse stock and activity.
• Prepare and process purchase/sales contracts; maintain records; support billing, invoicing and inventory reporting; monitor risk.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, warehouses, freight providers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth trade flow and high service.
• Role reports to the Trading Team.

Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading metals trading company who are seeking to hire an Operations & Trading Assistant to help grow their team into the Philippines. The successful candidate will support international transactions from purchase through final delivery, working closely with Traders to ensure accuracy and efficiency across logistics, contracts, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers – tracking cost to ensure profitability.
• Process and review shipping all relevant logistics paperwork, and track warehouse stock and activity
• Prepare and process purchase and sales contracts, maintaining accurate records as well as Support billing, invoicing, inventory reporting, as well as other contract administration, and risk/exposure monitoring
• Communicate efficiently and professionally with customers, suppliers, warehouses, freight providers, and logistics partners to ensure the full trade process is completed smoothly and with excellent customer service.
• Role reports to the Trading Team

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in trade operations, international logistics, freight forwarding, or similar
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Self-motivated, comfortable working independently, taking accountability, and managing multiple priorities collaborating with teams operating in multiple functions and working across multiple screens
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, proficiency with other Office programs, ERP systems, IBM I (AS400) a plus
• Role is to be located in Makati, Philippines
