Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search seeks an operator to manage trading operations for its dry bulk commodities business in Singapore, coordinating with trading, finance, trade execution, chartering and accounting to ensure end-to-end delivery and timely shipments.

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in trading operations within the commodity space.
Experience handling dry bulk products (coal, coke and metals) would be advantageous.
Good knowledge of letters of credit and relevant shipping documentation.
Familiar with dry bulk vessel operations, laytime calculations, charter parties and demurrage.
Located in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Manage trade operations for the company’s dry bulk raw materials trading business (steam coal, coking coal, pet coke, metals).
Work closely with the trading, finance, trade execution, chartering and accounting functions to ensure end to end process.
Draft and process contracts and documentations for shipping and letters of credit (sales and purchase).
Calculate laytime and negotiate demurrage settlements.
Role reports to VP of Operations / Regional Operations Manager.
