Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search are partnering with a leading metals trading company to hire an Operations & Trading Assistant in Makati, Philippines. You will support international transactions from purchase through final delivery, working closely with Traders to ensure accuracy across logistics, contracts, and customer relationships.

The role requires 2+ years in trade operations, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with teams across functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in trade operations, international logistics, freight forwarding, or similar.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication.
• Self-motivated, independent worker, able to manage multiple priorities across teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, and brokers to ensure profitability.
• Process shipping paperwork and track warehouse stock and activity.
• Prepare and process purchase and sales contracts; support billing, invoicing, and inventory reporting.
• Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, warehouses, freight providers, and logistics partners.
• Report to the Trading Team.

Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading metals trading company who are seeking to hire an Operations & Trading Assistant to help grow their team into the Philippines. The successful candidate will support international transactions from purchase through final delivery, working closely with Traders to ensure accuracy and efficiency across logistics, contracts, and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers – tracking cost to ensure profitability.
• Process and review shipping all relevant logistics paperwork, and track warehouse stock and activity
• Prepare and process purchase and sales contracts, maintaining accurate records as well as Support billing, invoicing, inventory reporting, as well as other contract administration, and risk/exposure monitoring
• Communicate efficiently and professionally with customers, suppliers, warehouses, freight providers, and logistics partners to ensure the full trade process is completed smoothly and with excellent customer service.
• Role reports to the Trading Team

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in trade operations, international logistics, freight forwarding, or similar
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Self-motivated, comfortable working independently, taking accountability, and managing multiple priorities collaborating with teams operating in multiple functions and working across multiple screens
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, proficiency with other Office programs, ERP systems, IBM I (AS400) a plus
• Role is to be located in Makati, Philippines
