Trading Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Trading Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily trading operations, ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, clients, logistics, and internal teams. This role ensures compliance with regulations, efficient documentation processing, and timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise overall trading operations (import/export, local trading, and distribution)
- Coordinate with suppliers, clients, brokers, and logistics partners
- Oversee preparation and processing of trade documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, permits, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with government regulations (BIR, Customs, and other agencies)
- Monitor shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Handle negotiation with suppliers and service providers
- Track inventory, orders, and delivery schedules
- Resolve operational issues and delays efficiently
- Prepare reports on trading performance, costs, and operations
- Lead and manage the operations team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- At least 3–5 years experience in trading, logistics, or import/export operations
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, documentation, and compliance
- Experience dealing with government agencies is an advantage
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in handling port or terminal coordination
- Familiarity with tariff classification and customs clearance
- Background in trading companies or industrial materials
