GKS Infotech Pvt Ltd seeks a skilled Hardware Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support for desktops, laptops, and printers. You will install OS, troubleshoot hardware issues, perform preventive maintenance, and keep day-to-day IT operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on experience with hardware components, good diagnostic skills, and the ability to coordinate with vendors for repairs and service, while delivering reliable on-site support to users.

Qualifications

Proven experience in desktop, laptop, and printer hardware support.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware, OS, and peripherals.
Familiar with common hardware brands and printer brands.
Working knowledge of Windows OS installation, driver management, and basic networking.
Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritize based on urgency.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and set up new desktops and laptops, including OS installation and drivers.
Diagnose and repair hardware faults — motherboard, RAM, HDD/SSD, power supply, display, keyboard, battery, cooling.
Upgrade hardware components (RAM, storage, SSD) as required.
Perform data backup and restoration during hardware replacement or repair.
Troubleshoot boot failures, blue screen errors, overheating, and performance issues.
Install and configure antivirus, drivers, and standard business applications.
Set up and troubleshoot peripherals — monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations, webcams.
Conduct preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste)
Printer Support – configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printers; print servers.
