• 3-5 years of nursing experience in a clinical specialty required.
• At least 2 years of leadership, education project work or professional development.
• Experience facilitating virtual learning or instructor-led training preferred.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum delivery and competency validation required.
• Experience using learning management systems and virtual learning platforms preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Nursing Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for delivering and optimizing virtual nursing education programs that support clinical excellence, professional development and workforce readiness across Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Operating within a Global Business Services environment, this role partners with nursing education leaders and clinicians to design, facilitate and evaluate virtual learning experiences that enhance nursing competency, support onboarding initiatives and contribute to organizational performance outcomes.

What you'll do

• Deliver high-quality virtual nursing education programs using approved learning and collaboration platforms

• Design and facilitate engaging virtual instructor-led training sessions that support adult learning principles and clinical competency development

• Coordinate virtual nursing orientation, onboarding, residency programs and continuing professional development initiatives

• Collaborate with Nursing Professional Development Specialists and nursing leaders to identify learning needs and implement educational solutions

• Apply evidence-based teaching methodologies and age-appropriate learning strategies to support nursing practice

• Monitor learner engagement, program effectiveness and educational outcomes using available performance data

• Analyze training results and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives

• Support competency assessment and validation processes aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements

• Integrate learning technologies and digital tools to enhance the virtual learning experience

• Maintain expertise in emerging virtual learning practices and educational technologies

• Promote standardized delivery of nursing education programs across multiple facilities and teams

• Contribute to initiatives that support nursing strategic goals and key performance indicators

What you'll need

Experience

• 3-5 years of nursing experience in a clinical specialty required

• At least 2 years of progressive experience in nursing leadership, professional development or education project work required

• Experience facilitating virtual learning or instructor-led training preferred

• Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum delivery and competency validation required

• Experience using learning management systems and virtual learning platforms preferred

• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder collaboration skills required

• Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives required

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Licensure and Certifications

• Philippine Registered Nurse (PHRN) - Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) required
