Job summary

Maybank Philippines seeks an SME Manager - North Metro to lead and coach BDEs, Jr. BDEs, SEs and BMs in driving loan sales and cross-selling bank products.

You will oversee client engagements, approvals, team performance, compliance, and execution of strategies to achieve business targets and KPIs. Responsibilities include evaluating loan proposals, monitoring portfolios, ensuring policy adherence, and developing sales materials and routes to market.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any relevant four-year course.
• Must have banking /financial services experience.
• Strong background in bank lending, account management, and credit evaluation from a reputable bank.
• Candidate must have strong strategic thinking, leadership, and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the team meets targets on loan accounts through evaluation and recommendation of loan proposals.
• Reviews and endorses loan applications within the scope of unit's authority for appropriate limits.
• Monitor existing loan portfolios for payments, maturities, and renewals to avoid delinquency.
• Ensure the team adheres to bank policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Renders reports to management on team performance and problem areas.
• Supervises work assignments, training, attendance, and compliance with bank policies.
• Devises sales materials and strategies and coordinates with distribution channels.
• Accompanies the Business Development Executive on client calls to understand borrower business before applications.
• Ensures compliance with operating policies, laws, and regulations.
• Resolves findings from Compliance Review, BSP onsite examination and Internal Audit within timelines.
