Job summary

Maybank is seeking an SME Account Officer/Business Development Executive to acquire, develop and manage profitable SME relationships by prospecting, expanding borrower relationships, assessing creditworthiness and packaging credit facilities.

The role includes cross-selling bank products, ensuring timely renewals, maintaining asset quality and compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting SME Banking growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree required.
• At least 2 years relevant work experience.
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership and management capabilities.
• Banking experience with lending and credit evaluation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Achieves assigned business targets through a profitable, quality SME portfolio.
• Sources potential SME clients via branch network, referrals and self-generated leads.
• Conducts client calls, visits and business-development activities with SME Manager or branches.
• Cross-sells banking products including Auto Loans, Personal Loans, Home Loans and Deposits.
• Reviews borrower relationships for line increases and other opportunities.
• Prepares credit proposals and coordinates with RSCC/LAD and approval bodies.
• Coordinates implementation and servicing with LAD, Accounting, Legal and other units.
