Job summary

UNICONS BUSINESS SERVICES INC is seeking a Network Operations Centre (NOC) engineer to ensure service availability, provision core network services, and support engineering teams. The role covers monitoring, fault troubleshooting, and 24x7 on-call rotation if required.

Candidates should have 5+ years in Network Operations, strong TCP/IP routing knowledge, experience with Cisco/Juniper/Adtran, and relevant certifications such as CCNA. This is a work-from-home assignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Network Operation is a must.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols (STP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and IPSec.
• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies and hands-on routing/switching/firewall with Cisco/Juniper/Adtran.
• Experience with VOIP, VPNs and security protocols; SD-WAN experience preferred.
• Certifications such as JNCIA or CCNA required; CCNP preferred.
• Strong familiarity with Linux OS/networking and centralized monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Monitoring Systems.
• Full fault troubleshooting, problem isolation, and corrective action or escalation.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to troubleshoot, upgrade and resolve service impacts.
• Provision and configure core network devices and tools, DNS, and monitoring software.
• Network equipment build, installation, and configurations.
• Perform hardware audits and maintain configurations.
• Write custom monitoring plugins and document processes.
• Maintain NOC knowledge base and procedures.
• Develop skills in network and system administration.
• Tier 3 escalation point for core datacenter services and AireSpring services.
• Participate in 24x7 call-out rotation if required.
• Work From Home assignment.
