Job summary

TGT Global is hiring a Tier 1 Network Technician to maintain network stability and availability across production systems. The role requires strong troubleshooting, Linux basics, and knowledge of BGP/OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and SD-WAN.

You will monitor performance, resolve faults, and act as second-tier support while coordinating with operations and engineering teams. Based in Metro Manila, with options for onsite work at BGC/Alabang offices, and involvement in out-of-hours meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting in production and network environments.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Fundamental Linux administration skills.
• Working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, Routing & Switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewall troubleshooting.
• Understanding of SD-WAN environments.
• Experience with production monitoring and ticket management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, self-starter mindset with strong customer focus.
• Willingness to attend out-of-hours monthly meetings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues that may affect service availability or performance.
• Investigate and resolve network faults, outages, connectivity issues, and service degradations.
• Utilize monitoring tools to ensure systems, applications, and network services remain operational.
• Act as second-tier support in identifying and resolving production-related incidents.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, switches, proxy servers, WAN accelerators, DNS, DHCP.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, and firewall-related issues.
• Support network device updates and approved firmware releases.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams on system, application, and hardware maintenance.
• Accurately document incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions in ticketing systems.
• Provide network status updates and incident reports to stakeholders and management.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with customers and internal teams throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives involving monitoring, service delivery, and operational processes.
