Job summary

KMC Solutions is seeking a NOC Network Tier 1 specialist to coordinate onsite support and ensure network availability. The role involves monitoring, basic hardware/software support, and incident resolution with a focus on Layer 1/2 tasks.

Location is hybrid with access to company benefits including HMO, pantry perks, and ongoing learning opportunities. Strong communication and basic networking knowledge are required, with 1–2 years in networking preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in handling network (specifically Dell devices)
• Understanding of basic Networking concepts (OSI, IP addressing, VLAN, Layer 2, STP)
• Excellent communicator with clients at all levels

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge calls and assigned service requests via Service Desk per SLA
• Monitor system health and acknowledge alerts in centralized monitoring (Solarwinds NPM)
• Provide Level 1 technical support (hardware & configuration)
• Respond and own issues until resolution of hardware or software problems
• Perform network L1 implementations and troubleshooting
• Document Method of Procedures for hardware/software maintenance
• Assist OSS in duties as assigned
• Interface with NOC and Service Desk during critical events/outages
• Provide escalation support to supervisor
• Perform initial installation, racking and configuring of server/data center infrastructure

The main responsibilities of a NOC NETWORK TIER 1 include:

• Acknowledgethe calls andassigned service requests,incidents,or queries via Service Desk according to SLA.

To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:

• Set upandadministrativeLayer 2 devices.
• Provide hardware and software engineering support for I.T client / server applications.
• Intervene in situations which require an immediate response such as external virus or malware threats.
• Schedule routine maintenance tasks on assignednetworks, to ensure that downtime is eradicated.

It will also be favorable if you are knowledgeable in:

• At least1 -2years experienced in handlingnetwork(Specific for Dell devices).
• Knowledge in physical layer(UTP cables, CAT5e, CAT6 etc.)
• Previous experience working withnetworkL1troubleshooting.
• Networkstandards and/or related degree with internship.
• Must be an excellent communicator/facilitator; ability to interface with clients at all level
• Knowledge in handlingnetwork and access point. Such as:Dell and Ruckus Products.
• Basic Networking(OSI, IP addressing, VLAN, basic routing and Layer 2 devices and STP).
