Job summary

Emapta Philippines is seeking an Application Support Specialist - MS SQL to diagnose complex issues across software, databases, and networks. You will handle SQL queries, scripting, and ticketing while supporting international users.

The role offers night shifts, onsite in Ortigas, with extensive training and growth opportunities across a globally connected team. The position requires practical SQL and networking skills, a solid IT help desk background, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server experience, SQL queries, scripting, database investigation, and troubleshooting.
At least 2 years in application support, software support, IT help desk, or a similar role.
Practical expertise in IPv4/IPv6 networking, including connectivity diagnostics across firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Strong ability to diagnose and resolve application, database, system, and network issues independently.
Associate degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

Review and prioritize support tickets involving software functionality, Microsoft SQL databases, system performance, and technical issues.
Diagnose application and database issues using established troubleshooting methods, including SQL queries and scripts when required.
Respond to support requests received through phone, email, and system-generated alerts.
Guide users through software features and explain technical concepts clearly based on their level of technical knowledge.
Investigate, test, and document suspected software defects and escalate complex issues to Tier II or appropriate technical specialists.
Manage assigned cases from initial assessment through resolution and provide timely status updates.
Maintain accurate and complete records of customer interactions, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions in the Case Management System or internal ticketing platform.
Coordinate with Support Technicians, Team Leads, Managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
