Eramen Minerals Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a licensed Mining Engineer with strong mine planning experience to align annual production targets with detailed plans and schedules.
You will generate alternative mining plans, collaborate with geology and marketing, update a 3-year development program, and support pit optimization using GEOVIA Surpac, MineSched, Spry, and Whittle, while ensuring safety and timely delivery.
Preparation of detailed annual mine plans and schedules that will meet the annual production targets
Preparation of multiple of alternative plans in mining approaches that will meet the production objectives
Classification and identification of mining blocks with economic value for proper scheduling and flexible distribution of the annual mine production.
Generation and updating of the current 3-year utilization/development work program showing the yearly end configuration and volume computation of ore and waste
Coordinate with the geology department in obtaining the current block model and marketing department for the average nickel ore price and assist the Mine Planning Section Head for the generation of pit optimization
Assist the Mine Planning Section Head in the generation mine designs using GEOVIA Surpac that are consistent with the 3-year utilization/development work program and feasibility study
Guides the geology and survey sections in the interpretation of mining approaches upon consultation with the Mine Planning Section Head
Assist the Mine Planning Section Head in the determination heavy equipment complement and their availability in relation to the progress of the mining excavation and needs of the mine operations department
Conducts annual goal setting for individual and team performances using the SMART framework
Conducts progress monitoring of work to ensure timely completion of tasks
Conduct risk assessment in all area for all activities, and ensure compliance with safety environmental policies
Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time.
Must be a licensed Mining Engineer
With at least 3 years of work experience in Mine Planning
Proficiency in mine planning software (Surpac, MineSched, Spry, Whittle); MS Office
With high professional integrity
Excellent in written and oral communication skills
Must be honest and dependable
With good management and analytical skills
Must be systematic and a team player
Able to meet deadlines consistently
